Crowley's Ridge College
Lady Pioneer Volleyball
CRC VOLLEYBALL MISSION
The Lady Pioneer volleyball program supports the mission of Crowley’s Ridge College by providing the opportunity for students to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and physically.
Head Coach Cindy Henry’s approach to the game is to focus on fundamentals, attitude, and conditioning. Her coaching philosophy is built from I Corinthians 9:25: “ Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”
Cindy Henry was named the Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA) “Volleyball Coach of the Year” after posting a 12-7 regular season record and placing 4th at the ACCA National Tournament in 2007.
Henry, a 2003 graduate of CRC, transferred to Harding University before finishing her Bachelors Degree in physical education, health, and journalism at Arkansas State University. Henry first joined the CRC staff part-time as director of intramurals in 2005 while completing her undergraduate studies. She became a full-time employee as coach and physical education instructor in 2006. Coach Henry also holds a Masters Degree in Sports Science from the United States Sports Academy.
At CRC, she was a two-sport standout. Her athletic accomplishments include being named twice to the National Christian College Athletic Association All-American volleyball team while leading the Lady Pioneers to a runner-up finish in the NCCAA national championship.
Henry was also a star athlete at Westside High School in Jonesboro, Ark., where she earned All-State honors as a member of the softball team and perennial powerhouse volleyball squad.
Along with working at team camps, Henry also is available for individual workouts and lessons for youth softball, volleyball, and basketball.
